Televid

I have had 2 TVs and a shelf stereo fixed by televid over the years. Whilst the orignal problems had been fixed, the two tvs both seemed to have had other problems when I got them back.

This last one - I had the screen fixed, took it home, and stored it, unmoving on a floor, for 9 months as I had bought a replacement TV. The first time I turned it on, the unscratched and undamaged screen had a picture that looked like it had been hit with multicolours radiating from a few inches in and covering half of the screen. I phoned twice, just wanting to understand this new problem and not wanting to claim after such a delay. Just like before, my calls were neither answered nor returned.

Catch him in the shop and he is very helpful and provides good information. But if you cannot get there when he is open in the morning, there is no way of satisfactorily contacting him.

This is based on my personal experience and opinion.
I took my DVR into the TELIVID shop for repair. The Owner, assured me he knew what was wrong as he had one, he repaired it in two weeks, called me and I picked it up took it home the repair lasted 30 minutes.
I returned to shop during his normal opening hours and it was shut. Called him and he told me to leave it with the shop next door. I had not heard from him for a month. I called he said it was repaired. Went to pick it up and he had lost the remote control. But he would not admit it and told me I had not brought in.
Two weeks later I called and he had found it. He did not apologise and would not post it out to me.
Very poor service, just a lot of aggravation from the Owner, in my opinion it is not worth getting your property repaired by him.

Steve repaired my Toshiba 3 in 1 DVD/HDD/Video recorder/player promptly and economically. Cannot praise him highly enough. He called me back the same evening I left a message for him and the repair was carried out within 2 days. A wonderful find.
