Tarmacadams Surfacing Ltd

I wish I has seen the previous review before engaging Tarmacadams to tarmac our driveway 28/29th September 2023. After the driveway was laid it rained for a week. When the driveway eventually dried it was discoloured in a number of places. Also the tarmac has been laid so sparsely in places that it has now started to crumble after four months!. I initially phoned William, who laid the driveway, with my concerns. He dismissed my concerns. I contacted another Tarmac company for a second opinion. On viewing the photos they agreed that there was a problem with the finished job. I have phoned William numerous times , visited the Durham office twice and sent an email to David Adams. To date I have had no response. The after sales service is nonexistent. The 'Customer Satisfaction Guaranteed' statement and 'All our work is protected for 12 months with our standard guarantee' statement is obviously inaccurate and false. They are not willing to acknowledge poor workmanship.

I had my tarmac driveway laid last August (2020). It has now (April 2021) cracked and bulged in four places and has weeds growing through the cracks. I have contacted the company twice to explain how disappointed I am and to ask what they can do to rectify the poor quality, and have not received a response to either of my emails. I am disappointed in how bad my drive looks after such a short space of time but even more disappointed in the complete disregard by the company of my complaint and opportunity to provide ongoing customer service. I would not want anyone else to spend this amount of money on something that within the space of 7 months looks like this. The company claimed it is guaranteed for six years but this is not being honoured.

We would highly recommend Tarmacadams Ltd. as we are incredibly pleased with our new driveway. William and his team of men are very friendly, tidy and professional. Work was all completed within the given time and for a good price. We will be contacting them for future work.

Very pleased with our new driveway. They came when they said, very professional and pleasant to deal with.It took no time at all as they have all the proper machinery. Would definitely recommend and will be asking them to do more work in the future.
