Private street lighting repair

Our Mews street light failed and we required an LED replacement to fit into an existing housing. After much searching I contacted T Darby (Electrical) Ltd. I spoke with Tim Darby and explained the job. He was not only patient, I am no expert, but asked important questions in simple language that I understood. He confirmed that his company could do the conversion to LED light source which...could be installed in the existing housing. He was polite and very helpful. The installation was delayed due to the COVID-19 situation but was recently carried out. The two guys that carried out the work were professional, polite, efficient and helpful, in fact were a pleasure to deal with. The work was exactly what we wanted and as arranged. The final price was very reasonable in the circumstances. I would recommend this company very highly and they have infact been entered onto our preferred contractor list in the event of future work being required. B Lloyd

They were so quick to respond when I contacted them, they went to site and I had the quote and date for repair the next day. Brilliant service and repair done to a very high standard. Should i need more repairs they will be my first port of call.

Excellent work by Jack the engineer. Efficient and doggedly determined to find the fault in our electrical system, which he did. The issue now seems to have been resolved. My view is that this is a very efficient and reliable company. Will definitely use them again.

Excellent service. Polite and very helpful young men. Nothing was too much trouble. This is especially important for a single mum who is vulnerable to tradesmens honesty and integrity.

Every repair job should be this easy!

From the time of calling Tim Darby for help with a small job, to two electricians turned up on time and with the correct equipment to complete the job of replacing three extractor fans, I was impressed with the level of service and attention to me, the client. I was also surprised at how quickly Tim managed to fit me into the schedule and buy the necessary extractor fans. One of the fans required a small adjustment by filing off a corner which was done without hesitation. I would highly recommend T. Darby Electrical Ltd.

Rewiring for a kitchen upgrade, extending outside power to sheds, investigating defective LED tape lights and sorting, replacing failed downlighters, replacing defective extractor fan in bathroom, all part of the service provided for us by Tim and his boys over the last 8 years. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Tim.

Tim Darby, what a fantastic human being!...

Tim Darby, what a fantastic human being! Had a problem with home electrics tripping out and could not resolve. A photo of the consumer unit sent to Tim, a call back from him and sorted following his simple and clear instructions. My uncle, who is 90 was overwhelmed by this and will look to Tim for any future electrical needs. PROPER SERVICE!!! CANNOT RECOMMEND HIGHLY ENOUGH. Thanks so much for caring Tim.

After not getting any responses from other local trades people,...

Tim and the team got straight back to me and came to take a look at the problems we had. He recommended a sensible course of action and booked us in at a time to suit us. Will, the electrician, was courteous, tidy and kept us informed every step of the way, and even took his shoes off every time he went upstairs (including when he went in the attic!). Would thoroughly recommend Tim and the team to anyone who needs work done, a great service!
