Sylvia Brouder English Tuition

Sylvia tutored both my son and daughter in the year before they took their two English GCSE papers. For both of them, they were subjects where they lacked confidence. It's also fair to say that they were sceptical about tutoring - both making the time investment and whether it would make any difference. But Sylvia quickly won them over - they found her lessons really useful, with practical guidance on how to tackle the exam questions. Their confidence really grew during the year.

They both did really well with their grades - my daughter got up to the grades she was hoping to get and my son actually did even better than he thought possible. Both of them felt that Sylvia had played a large part in that.

Sylvia is a wonderful, kind and experienced teacher. She has taught my daughter for two years and really helps her grasp some concepts which are harder to understand in class and gives her a chance to go over things again.
My daughter's confidence in English has grown significantly over the time she has been having sessions with Sylvia. Now we are passed entrance exams I wasn't sure if we would have a break from extra tuition but my daughter was very keen to keep working with Sylvia which says it all. Id thoroughly recommend Sylvia as an excellent teacher and a lovely person who has a great way with children - she's very encouraging. She also helps children to get great results!
