hit and miss3
i was abit apprehensive as what to expect,
the man that serves me and my friend was the most helpful person i could have asked for,
he showed us the wood,
cut it to the size we wanted it and even sanded it,
i was amazed with the service,
i went back less than a week later to be faced with the most infuriating person i think i have ever had to talk to,
nt only did he belittle me in frnt of the whole shop. customers included,
but he also spoke down to me and made me out to be a typical "woman in a hardware store"
if he thinks speaking to someone that is acceptable he has another think comming,
making me cry in thr store is not only pathetic but totally out of line,
for a 20 something year old i have never been spoken to like that and frankly i will never go back
the prices are amazing,
the staff are helpful and friendly,
but god help you if you end up with the man that served me
5/5 for customer service
-5/5 for the belligerent man that also works there
I hope you have made a complaint to thew management Sophie, preferably in writing. There is no excuse for this behavior and if I were the proprietor of this business, it would be instant dismissal for the member of staff concerned. Never mind the warnings or letters, this could ruin a business reputation. It has certainly made me think twice about going there.
I am sorry to learn of your experience, albeit many years ago. Sadly, it is now difficult to fully investigate this. If it had been brought to our attention, I can assure you it would have been fully investigated – we are not alerted to Yell reviews and it only now came to light. Established in 1933 we have prospered by providing the traditional service you first experienced and often receive positive feedback. Amongst our small team of loyal staff, we cannot identify anyone as described, even on an off-day – I would hate to think anyone would act in that way, even if out of character. Dave’s comment is sound advice, though I would ask that he forms an opinion on actual experience – I would hope that it would be similar to your first and if not, that he follows his guidance. If ever you do return, then I would like to feel that your experience is positive and if not, please report it to the manager – that will allow us to take the appropriate action.
