Sunderland Royal Hospital

My sincere thanks to all the staff at Sunderland Royal Hospital who made my thyroid operation in mid December possible. This included the pre-op assessment nurses, the on site PCR testing staff, Ms Cox and her operating team and all the doctors, nurses and support staff in Ward C33. I am very grateful for your dedication and kindness in these difficult times.

I have been to this hospital loads of times as I have been having bad panic attacks and all the nurses were nice to me and helped me calm down and even told me that I have anger issues which has now helped me with my life cause I now know how to sort it out when I get angry.

Dec 28th I was diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy and the consultant recommended physio.
Physio dept. rang Jan 7th to make the appointment but as I live in Chester-le-Street it was agreed that the Community Hospital in Ch-le-St was closer and more convenient.
As I hadn't heard anything, I rang Ch-le-St this morning (Jan 21) and they had no record of any referral.
I then rang the Sunderland Royal who were absolutely fantastic.
Christina sent my notes to Chester-le-Street and I am now on the waiting list without me having to do anything.

My Auntie was in the vascular ward 36 for 5 weeks before she died, she was treated with the utmost respect and they cared for her in every way.
We were kept up to date daily about her condition, I cannot praise all the staff over the 3 shifts enough for what they did over those remaining weeks of her life. Thank you once again all on ward 36

Our mother spent the last few weeks of her life in Sunderland Royal Hospital and she was given the very best of care, respect and kindness as were my brother and I. I can give nothing but thanks to the nurses, doctors, cleaners, carers, the priest and all who we’re involved. We were given the peace and support to focus on loving Mum, to hold her hand during that very hard time. Thank you so very much to you all. We will never forget your help.
