Very poor customer service to a dissatisfied customer.

This company installed my electric fire on 25th August. They are impossible to contact as there is never anyone to answer the telephone. From the start the fire had an unacceptable hum, which I reported to their Eastbourne shop the day after installation. The assistant there attempted to contact the installer, without success and then tried to contact head office, again without success. She then said I should try to contact head office myself. After many attempts I spoke to someone who arranged for a Dimplex engineer to visit me on 26th October. He minimised the hum, but it was still unacceptable to me. Using Trading Standards help I wrote to the company on 5th November giving them 14 days to respond. They didn't so I wrote again on 21st November giving them five days to respond. They replied on 30th November offering me a refund which is not what I want, but I haven't been able to contact them to discuss the matter. Their customer service is non-existent.
