Strysen Heating ltd, est 1977, is a well established plumbing, heating and gas company with an exceptional reputation for customer service and reliability. We have designated premises and administration staff and currently employ 8 engineers.

We undertake all aspects of heating works specialising in boiler servicing, breakdowns and installation, covering gas, oil, solar and ground source. We also provide these services from our electrical department.

Strysen is a Gas Safe, NICEIC (electrical) and BPEC (advanced plumbing) registered business holding full public and employee liability insurance. We are currently successfully working in partnership with Corgi Home Plan Insurance and Home3 Insurance as approved contractors and are looking to expand this side of our business.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to provide a professional and speedy service at all times, whilst maintaining the highest quality of work.

Boiler not actually serviced 4 years in a row despite paying for it

My hot water was going hot and cold. Called Strysen who sent 2 engineers around - they were trying to charge me £129 to replace a part (as well as the office sending me a call out charge of £56 for not fixing the issue - I wasn't made aware of the callout cost of this beforehand either by the way)..I call Viessmann to send their own engineer for 2nd opinion, they fix it on the day by removing debris in system and cleaning parts..& the reason for the fault was due to "over heating in DHW mode due to circulation restriction inside the boiler" the boiler was not serviced properly and never has been according to engineer "whatever they've done, they haven't serviced it" and pointed to a red seal that's never been broken which is supposed to be proof of this, as well stating something else (As you can tell I know nothing about boilers like most average people). So I've been conned 4 years in a row for annual services from Strysen, which were not done. Very upset and will not be using again

Quick and Helpful

I did not use this company personally but I did call them out to my elderly mother's address when her heating stopped working. I was able to speak to someone quickly and they fitted us in on the same day. They fixed the problem, were professional and particularly kind. I would highly recommend this company.

Poor Service Experience

Guy came to service my boiler, here 30-45 mins, said all was fine. 5 minutes later tried to run hot water - cold. Rang the office who got the guy to come back 15 mins later. Looked at boiler, woffled about service mode or something, then had to call the boiler manufacturer for advice. Then drained some water out of the system and all fine.
Looking back - it was so strange he never asked me to run any hot water after the service (normally they do).
Boiler is on a contract so do not choose the people who service it -next year will find another supplier

Disappointing to receive such a negative and unfair review, but thank you for highlighting the fantastic efficiency of our customer service - you flagged a simple and minor error to us, and it was completely resolved within 20mins of your call. When in service mode the boiler will not deliver hot water, and this function is used to test and calibrate the combustion performance of the boiler. On your appliance it is necessary to manually cancel the service mode, which was mistakenly left on upon completion of the service. This was quickly and efficiently resolved, with a brief call the manufacturer to confirm the correct procedure.
