Strand Kebab & Fish Bar

Ordered late on a Friday night and wasn't certain if they'd still take an order for delivery - no need to worry, they did. I ordered an extra large doner kebab, large chips and two large sausages in batter. Our food was delivered promptly and was piping hot which is always a major plus point. The kebab was lovely and generous, perhaps just a tiny tad greasy but this is so often the hallmark of a good doner kebab anyway isn't it? lol. The portion of chips was perfectly acceptable in terms of both quality and generosity, as were the sausages. Have been recommending Strand kebab to my friends ever since and will definitely be ordering again - probably later on tonight!

Absolutely discussing the manners and the food from yesterday warmed up health a safety need to get in the shop ASAP

After being recommended, I decide to give these a try tonight-- Fish and Chips delivered... As soon as I got the delivery in from the driver, I could smell the fishhiness of the fish, which I dont really like - prefer no fishy smell at all.. Anyway, opened up and the first impression was that it looked not too bad, albeit one large cod was smaller than the other. There were plenty of chips for a large portion. The family ate the meal, and found the fish quite nice, and chips a little too crispy. The biggest complaint I had was that the paper was really oily/greasy.. It wasnt the best fish and chips I had had, nor the worst, but it wasn't as good as I had been told it would be - A friend ordered from here on Friday and Saturday nights, and posted a picture on facebook on the difference between the chips over 2 nights - first night they were pale, soft and juicy, second night, darker and crispier. I only like fish & chips cooked to my order, and guaranteed as fesh as possible. Mick B
