Sweeping to a code of practice, British Standards 6461.
On completion of work you will be issued with the Certificate of Chimney Sweeping and recommended when future cleaning will be needed.

Disappointing customer care

Duncan fitted a wood burner in our cottage. The installation went smoothly and we were initially pleased with the job. Shortly after, following rainfall, we noticed an ingress of water down the inside of the chimney seeping through to the internal plaster (this only started after the closed chimney cap was changed to a woodburning cowl). On investigation my husband observed that the cowl that Duncan installed did not fit the chimney snugly and there was a gap. We didn't know for sure if this was the issue but we wanted Duncan to come back and look at it since the problem had only started after the installation. My husband left Duncan a lot of messages asking him to come back but he never answered his phone and he never replied. He totally ignored us. I also sent a message via the enquiry page of his website. We feel a bit let down by this guy. He clearly had no wish to ensure we were a satisfied customer. Just be warned in case you have any issues.

i used duncans company for the first time recently to sweep and fit a new liner for my log burning stove. excellent service and went out of his way to sort out problems i was having previously.
i would definately use him again and have already recommended him to others.
