Stone and Leaf is a multi-award winning company that creates beautiful gardens.

The company was established in 2004 by Robert Charles Grimstead, whose career spans nearly 20 years and includes work in Europe, the Middle East and working on a TV production called 'Lost gardens' with Monty Don.

Our gardens are designed and built by our industry experts, who are passionate about landscape design and construction and the ways in which they can be used to enhance the natural context

We have earned a reputation for creating stylish modern landscapes that are a fusion of contemporary design, natural materials and innovative planting.

We offer a turnkey design and build service to private clients but also work together with developers, garden designers and landscape architects to implement their designs.

We also grow a beautiful range of designer plants at our 1.5 acre nursery, which is nestled in the South-Essex countryside at Langdon Hills.

These solid 10cm thick stone steps are stacked one on top of the next, the level difference between the two gardens is 1.6m.

From a person who has a severe OCD with detail and is extremely fussy about what they spend their hard earned cash on, would I recommend Stone & Leaf Ltd????????????

Quite Simply, 100% Yes.

Did Stone & Leaf listen to our requirements (YES), Was their quote based on our requirements and was it competitive (YES), Did they offer advice on ways to save money (YES), Did they turn up when they should have (YES), Where they professional/approachable (YES), Did my wife feel comfortable with them working at the house whilst she was at home and I was at work (YES), Did they leave the place tidy at the end of each day (YES), Did they complete when they said they would (YES).

All in all, we where extremely pleased we went with Stone & Leaf Ltd, Robert was true to his word and price and Liam, Dan & Chris delivered exactly what we had in our heads and more. Great company, great work ethic, great team, oh and they kept it simple, 3 coffee's all with milk and 2 sugars..........

Brilliant Job

Rob and his team undertook a complete transformation of our patio and garden in early 2013. They worked through pretty appalling weather to produce an outcome that was, and remains, outstanding. It was achieved in line with budget and on schedule. Rob can arrange a visit if that helps anyone to assess his work.

We contracted Stone and Leaf to do all the landscaping round our newly built house in 2012. They installed fencing, laid patios and paths, created attractive borders and put down lawns both at the front and rear of the property. Three years later the garden looks beautiful. The borders have provided all year round colour and easy maintenance. The lawns are level and of good quality grass. We can thoroughly recommend this organisation.

A great job from start to finish! Robert and his team worked fluidly to create the garden of my dreams. We kept to his original design, which made perfect use of my little plot, except a few alterations I requested which were incorporated into the main quote with minimal fuss! I would thoroughly recommend Stone & Leaf to anyone looking to make the most of their outdoor space.
