Stockport LGV was set up by Peter and Eve Allen in 1978 and joined by their son Karl 10 years later. Karl’s wife Kay joined the company in 2008 followed closely by Norman the Newfoundland, our company mascot.

We have seen many changes over the years both in the vehicles used and the tests to be taken. Through all the changes we have endeavored to provide bespoke, one to one training for each customer, providing each person with the best opportunity to pass their tests first time. All our instructors are carefully chosen and trained by the company to ensure all training provided is to our high standard.

As a family business we combine professionalism with a personal and friendly service that begins even before the Course commences, providing advice on details such as licence applications and medicals, through to arranging convenient theory and practical test dates and even accommodation, if required.

Everyone is different, not just in terms of driving experience, but also in the way they learn and we have never forgotten that in a quarter of a century.

We have always been strong advocates of ONE-TO-ONE tuition, ensuring that you get not only the quality of tuition you require but a course that is right for you and you alone! We don't sell standard pre-packaged courses that may not be right for you!
