Steve Todd Music Teacher

Learning to play an instrument for the 1st time, was never going to be easy, and when your fast approaching 70, it was very important to find the right tutor. I asked around music shops and his name cropped up several times, so I gave him a ring.
Steve has helped me achieve what I thought would be almost impossible. I don’t want to take grades, but I am playing grade 3 classical guitar pieces.
To anyone looking for the right tutor, I would say definitely give him a try. I’m certainly glad I did.

Steve is great at explaining the musical structure of the pieces you are learning and will help you achieve those exam grades. JLF

Steve has been my guitar teacher for over 20 years and I cannot rate him and his teaching high enough. He is the reason I am still playing after all these years as every lesson is fun and enjoyable. If I have heard a song I like he transposes it for guitar whilst gently pushing me out of my comfort zone without me realising it! He also understands how I learn - everyone learns in a different way and Steve is brilliant at adapting his teaching style accordingly. He will tailor lessons to what you want. I want to learn songs that I like whilst improving my technique. Others want to work their way through the grades. Some (like me) want to play 'classical' guitar, while others want to play electric guitar, base guitar, the mandolin... the list goes on and Steve can teach it regardless of your ability. But most important of all Steve is a really nice, genuine guitar teacher that is passionate about his teaching and helping you learn. If I could give 10 stars I would!
