Steelworks is a performing arts academy which teaches students from 2 1/2 up to Adults providing further education and professional training for students aged between 16 and 20.
Steelworks Performing Arts Vocational Courses
3yr Dance & Musical Theatre DiplomaThe First Year
A general program of study to create s grounding in all dance disciplines is offered, with the aim of building strong basic technical skills. Acting and singing will also play a key part, along with relevant contextual studies.
The Second Year
Work will continue to strengthen and consolidate techniques and skills introduced in the first year. More emphasis will begin to be placed on students individual strengths and skills.
The Third Year
Students will continue to develop technical skills whilst refining their artistry, musicality and performance skills. A focus on graduation will begin, with the students preparing to leave the academy fully equipped for their professional careers.
