Star Nails

I visited for a Pedicure with my husband. The staff were really polite, chatty and friendly. I enjoyed my experience here and will visit again.

I don’t have time to get my nails done regularly but whenever I do have the chance to treat myself I always choose this shop. I know everyone has a different experience but I’m honestly shocked by any negative reviews on here because the techs are really skilled and lovely people every time I’ve been, Its a really friendly shop. I’m quite shy with asking for what I want in places like this usually but the techs there are easy to speak to and have yet to say no to any design I’ve asked for from Reddit or Pinterest. Had a pedicure and manicure today and the tech made sure water was hot all the time, asked exactly what I wanted and checked I was happy with the colour more than once and it turned out perfect. I bought my mum to this shop the time before and her nails were brittle due to lots of cancer treatments and the tech was so gentle with them and her and made her feel a million dollars afterwards.

The Workers there are really friendly. Other than that they do my nails for a reasonable price

I have been here before and not had this experience but the reviews reflect this: it is a hit and miss experience depending on the technician you get. The old lady doing mine today was rough, glued my skin to the acrylics and then shoved the skin down manually and painfully afterwards. Even when I winced she continued. She kept looking annoyed if I watched the tv or when I sent a text to my husband (not quite sure why it’s a very long and tedious experience). And now I suspect she’s probably filed my nails down to damaging levels, as a few hours after the manicure my nails are aching at the nail bed which I’ve never had before in all the times I’ve had them done. Not impressed. They need to work on their quality Of experience especially as you pay them a fair bit for the rubbish service. most people there acknowledge it’ll be rubbish service but go regardless, which is a shame. They need a competitor to show them how it’s done.
