I attended my father-in-laws funeral where Stacy’s Kitchen was hired as the caterer. The caterer arrived late, the food was served lukewarm, and the servers were unable to fulfil their duties so family members stepped in to help. Our family is incredibly disappointed in the service on the day, however it is the lack of follow up from Stacy after an already difficult day that is completely unacceptable. The only thing our family is looking for is an explanation as to why things went so wrong, and why there was a clear lack of empathy and compassion in Stacy’s response, given she was communicating with a widowed and bereaved woman. After we posted a negative review Stacy called my mother in law yelling at her. She just lost her husband after 53 years.

We contracted Stacy for my father’s funeral and the experience was atrocious. 1) The food arrived 1.5 hours late and guests were served lukewarm warm food. 2) The two servers were unprofessionally dressed and seemed inexperienced in their skill set and grieving family members stepped in to assist. 3) The stew pork had a good flavour however it was 75% skin and bones leaving it inedible. 4) The requested chocolate cake for 50 people was barely enough to feed 25 people, and it was in fact half-baked chocolate brownies, not cake. 5) And finally, Stacy herself did not personally follow up, leaving my widowed mother to inquire what happened. The response received from Stacy was form-generic and considering we contracted her for a funeral, her response is callous and disrespectful. A heartfelt apology and explanation (we do not want a refund) would have gone a long way, instead she has dodged any responsibility. Extremely disappointing.

I ordered Jamaican patties from Stacy's Kitchen for an office event, and I was extremely pleased with the experience. The patties were spiced well, flaky with a golden crust, just delicious and a big hit among my colleagues. The variety of fillings offered pleased everyone's taste buds, from the classic beef and saltfish to awesome vegetarian options like jerk plantain.

The high level of service provided also impressed. All contact was professional and easy, the food was delivered punctually for a seamless experience. The patties did cool down a lot during transportation so needed reheating. I highly recommend Stacy's Kitchen for anyone looking to add a burst of flavour to their events!
