St George & Dragon Wargrave

Good destination for family dining with an interesting and reasonably priced menu. Friendly staff but not brilliant service; mains arrived no more than two minutes after starters were cleared but it took at least fifteen minutes before anyone acknowledged we were waiting for the bill at the end. Food was tasty and would visit again.

Very stylish and large waterside pub. Has an upmarket feel and fabulous views of the Thames, especially from the patio area. Good selection of drinks including some interesting ales. Reasonable menu served at both the bar and the restaurant area, food's good without being outstanding. Large car park at the waters edge.

This is one of the more picturesque and upmarket pub/restaurants in the Reading area. It is located beside the River Thames with a large terrace overlooking the river as well as a few tables on the river bank. It even has moorings for a couple of boats. You can't beat this place on a warm summer day, its glorious! The atmosphere is relaxed. The food is good but not great. It gets busy - book on weekends.

There is a fair sized car park - if its full there is a really cheap public car park one minute drive away.

Excellent location overlooking the Thames. Has a large outdoor area with foot access to the river. Varied menu either served in the bar or more formal dinning area. Modern decor and wide selection of speciality beers and ciders. Good family pub.
