1Do not buy any bike from this terrible retailer. I purchased a gravel bike from these despicable clowns and regretted it from the first few miles. I specifically stated that the bike was going to be used daily & ridden hard. Day 1, the cassette started rattling. I got it tightened. Day 2, same again
I did get a refund as requested but with a rather grubby & cheeky cleaning charge deduction. The cheek. " it's been ridden ".... well of course it has you awful person!
If you insist on a Specialized bike, buy direct online and not via these awful people. The terms and conditions are more favorable than a distributor apparently
They even had the front to insist that the bike wasn't faulty when it had gone through their workshop to get it bike tight
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL

Hi Mike, Thank you for the review, we have gone above and beyond in this case so that you could receive the immediate refund you were looking for. After consulting with the store, they have said you initially went to another bike shop and had to have the cassette tightened in the first instance (not giving us the right to look at a fix, or a receipt for these works) then you brought the bike to us after you believed it had happened again. We inspected the bike and confirmed there were no issues with it and that it was working as expected. We had two of our mechanics take a look at this, with no faults found. Our customers safety is paramount, so any issues are raised correctly under warranty. From this, under the standard consumer rights, you had no right to a refund, but we wanted to ensure you were happy with the purchase. As a gesture of good will, we agreed to take the bike back with a small fee for cleaning. We are sorry you don't feel the same.
Don’t judge a book by its cover
1I went to the Chelmsford branch all ready to spend money on a bike but the sales team were just poor. Think they took one look at me and thought I was wasting their time. They did however want to sell me a £250 bike fit. Luckily they advised me of another shop to visit where I bought the bike instantly.
Speaking to another bike friend today and she had the same response was in the shop 5 mins and none even bothered to attend to her so she left.
Very poor customer experience : bike paint chipped and rude staff
1The mechanic has never been in touch with me over the phone.
The service took more than a week and I paid 196£ (including 110 of labour).
The cassette has been swapped for Shimano (originally was Sunrace) the original one had been thrown away.
I had asked for caps to be fitted in the mounting holes at the back. When I picked up the bike, some ugly Allen socket screws had been fitted in the holes and tightened to the point of chipping up the paint around the hole! I was thinking about covering the holes to prevent any damage to the inside of my frame.
When dropping the bike or picking it up, i was left with impression that the staff wasn’t welcoming or friendly at all and clearly not enthusiastic about their job.
I am still left with the impression that I have paid 110£ for someone to chip the paint of my bike.
Don't be fooled by the logo on the store front.
Abyssmal customer service
2Ps I recommend in future before annoying a customer you use a little more observation, judge me not on my jeans and t-shirt, it is the weekend, maybe notice the £4K Omega watch
What an amazing shop and staff
5I am now the proud owner of a gorgeous pair of S Works shoes with a correct BG in sole too.
I am not easily impressed with shops and staff of shops, BUT this visit was impressive.
Highly recommended. Will definitely be making the journey from Hertfordshire to Chelmsford again soon.
