About 3 weeks ago I was very very excited as I had found my first car I was so happy when I looked at the price and saw it was £995 and knew I would be able to afford it!
Well I bought the car, and I will admit the customer service I received was okay, they even offered me to have it on the inspection ramps and have a good underneath the car, which I did, I noticed and pointed out that the engine was very clean and asked about this and they said "We clean them all up for inspection purposes, it's just to make sure we can see any oil leaks and give them a good going over". That seemed like a fair enough explanation to me.
But I got my car home and checked the one thing I had not checked....... The radiator fluid, not something you would think to check before buying a car if you are inexperienced first time buyer. Well I looked in the radiator and there was nothing but brown sludge in it, I took the car back and asked that they sort the problem out and make sure there were no signs of a blown head gasket. I went to collect the car and asked what they had found they said nothing was wrong and that they had flushed the radiator out and put some coolant in it for me and that they had done tests on the head and there were no leaks, so I took it home, and gave it and hour before looked in the radiator, there was no coolant in there just water! and down the front of my engine there was a steady flow of oil leaking onto the ground!! A few days later when taking it out the car played up even further, it now has a suspected slippy clutch more likely a misfire and the gearbox main baring is noisy, I have not driven the car harshly in fact I have been very gentle with it. Since all this I have not bothered to take the car back as they are liars and complete cowboys, they cannot be trusted to do what they say they have done. I am appalled and furious about all of this, as I'm only just 19. I saved up to buy a car for nearly 8 months and I have been completely ripped off and lied to I am now going to have to get rid of this car and make a massive loss, because I won't do to someone else what has been done to me!
I would never use this garage again and suggest that you seriously reconsider before buying a car from them and certainly before having any repairs done!!
