I have been using SmartPaye for my direct payments but have had lots of issues, the main one being that it took almost a month (and a lot of emails) to pay my self employed help, which got to the point where he refused to work for me until he was paid so I missed out on a month of support that I am entitled to. When I gave up and asked for the money not used for my main PA to be transferred to my Kent Card as help refused to work for me whilst I used SmartPaye it took a week (and a follow up email) to even get a response to my email and that was just to ask for information that was already sent. The money still hasn’t been transferred and so I still don’t have the support from my help and they are being as obtuse as possible about how much to transfer despite repeating written instructions. The mental and physical toll of the stress and anxiety of using this company has been significant. Fully managed payroll was meant to make life easier, not harder. avoid.
