Staff at Stockport Motability

On Tues 2/12/14 I phoned to get information on the new parking arrangements for disabled drivers. First point of call was the shop itself, the chap there could not answer my questions so he told me to contact the main office. Having done so the next person got me so confused and finally said "have you any more questions as there is a queue at the window" Is the way to attract shoppers at this time of year to Stockport ? No wonder people go to other places or sit in warmth and shop on line !

Can I add that this review refers to the Parking office next door to Shopmobility Stockport as the staff at shopmobility are very helpful and go out of their way to help when asked questions.

Having attempted for much of the day, and failed, to persuade Hibu to remove this review from our page (the writer's complaint should be addressed to Stockport MBC, with whom we have no connection. For the record, we do not have a shop, we do not have a "main office", we do not have a window and we have no authority over disabled parking) I have discovered that the reviews are fairly worthless anyway. Apparently I can cut and paste a bad review of the Harvester, Ashton-u-Lyne onto the pages of the Dorchester, London, Claridges, the London Hilton and any other top London hotel. It would have no relevance but it could stay because it "does not breach our policy guidelines" . The writer of the review has failed to reply to our correspondence.

Stockport Shopmobility really does enhance lives. The friendly helpful staff will bring a scooter to the bus station / stop if you cannot get to the office, and pick it up again from wherever you are in the town centre. Without Shopmobility I for one would not be able to get around and visit shops and banks etc . It allows me to meet friends and socialise. In all Shopmobility enhances my life by giving me my freedom. Thankyou Shopmobility. :-D

Stockport Shopmobility is fab

Stockport Shopmobility is great for a number of reasons: - it's open till 5pm six days a week, the staff can bring a wheelchair or scooter to meet you in the town centre if that is more convenient than driving to their office in the car park. They are always very helpful and also only charge a £2 returnable deposit. Compared to some Shopmob. schemes this is a bargain.

Life Changing !!!

I heard about Shopmobility Stockport via a local mobility shop as my mobility has decreased dramatically over the last 18 months.
Becoming a member is so easy and the team are lovely and friendly and go out of their way to help in any way they can.
They have several different types of scooters to suit just about anyones needs and they provide full training before you use them. In addition to this they will even drop a scooter off or pick it up from where you are parked if possible.
Membership is just £10 for a year or £ 20 for a lifetime and all they ask for is a £2 deposit each time you use a scooter which is refunded on return of the scooter. it's changed my life and given me my freedom back - I cannot recommend it highly enough!!!!!!!!!
