Michelle welcomes you to her barbers and Ladies hairdressers shop in Leigh on Sea. Come in for an experience that will leaving you looking 10 yrs younger ! Yes even the men !

We offer both a traditional and a more modern barbering experience for both the more mature and a young clientele(inc boy's). Michelle has been in barbering trade for over 25yrs ! and has worked in many top London salons. She is a specialists in hot towel shaves and we have been told many times ,that her Shelby's shaves are second to none ! Michelle also does facials and Indian head message - for a fantastic treat. Or why no try a Shelby shave ? you won't regret it !!

For the ladies We have our stylist,Kim. Kim worked at Regis(the largest company in Europe for 10yrs) And has been in the trade again for over 25yrs !An expert in colouring (inc colour correction) Perming (inc long hair) and cutting.Also Prom Hair/Hair Up.

For kids we are child friendly/patient and have 3 Racing Car Seats, Kids colorful play area n DVD player.Free 1st haircut certificate inc.

Open Monday- Friday, 9am - 6pm , Thursdays 9am-8pm, Saturday 8.30-5pm

This is a picture of a hot towel shave, which Shelby is an expert in. It includes a lovely face massage. This could be a weekly treat or for that special occasion, i.e a wedding. If a wedding party book, we will give a good discount. Please ring for further information.

Brilliant service and environment

Took my 2 kids to get their hair cut and the place was great. There were cartoons painted on the walls, they got to sit in little cars and watch Toy Story while their hair was being cut so they were really excited. The service was also brilliant and very friendly.

Been a client of Shelbj`s since Michelle started in the other shop. I am a hairdresser myself, and can highly recommend. For me is the ideal place where to relax for a while having my hair cut. Very friendly atmosphere, no music, and most important for me to Pushy sales. High level of work without wasting time.

Fab Toddler Hair Cut x

Took my two and a half year old to have his hair done. He is a very fidgety child but the lady cutting his hair really was fab with him and was able to cut his hair :D he now keeps talking about the car he sat in to have his hair cut. They have toys and a tele to watch, it really is fab service. I never dreamed my little boy would sit in a chair and have his hair cut, but he did!
Thankyou so very much - will be back time and time again.

They should drop the Barbers from their name

They are nice and friendly. I couldn't fault the actual experience just the end result. I was after a modern and fairly common cut but I don't know if the lady wasn't listening or just didn't understand but she got it completely wrong and I have to start growing it all out again. I am sure they are a good hairdressers/salon but as a Barber's I don't rate them and will not be going back.

Shelbys familly hairdressers.

We are a barber shop and very child friendly with kids racing car seat and childrens corner.
we specialise in Hot towel shaves with a fantastic face massage, plus indian head massage for those who like to be pampered.
We now have a ladies section so the mums can have their hair cut whist the children are watching cbeebies
