Fully qualified teacher of the IDTA Sharon has over 30 years dance experience Venue offers a sprung floor and ballet barres Sharon teaches all classes so knows every student
Classes in MAIDSTONE for 2 1/2 year olds up to adults in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Disco and Cheerleading
Exams taken threw the recognised examination board I.D.T.A which are held annually. A record of a 100% pass rate each year!
They hold their own annual show in July
The opportunity to perform at local Fetes, the Maidstone River Festival has been a favourite since 2002
Students have successfully auditioned for Pantomime's held at the Hazlitt Theatre and at the Central Theatre since 2002, performing along side stars such as Joe Swash (Eastenders & Winner of I'm a Celebrity) and Shane Lynch (Boyzone)
In 2004 & 2006 students performed at Her Majesty's theatre London home to Phantom of the Opera!
In 2005 they performed in Eurodisney Paris!
In 2007 they performed at the Shaftesbury Theatre london home to show's such as Fame and Hairspray starring Michael Ball
4 students were chosen to perform alongside Justn Timberlike Maidstone's very own Justin Timberlake!
In 2015 they were invited to perform at The Hazlitt Theatre in the heart of Maidstone.
20 students performed in a variety show in aid of raising money for the guide dogs.
Also in 2015 they were invited by a company called Grande Productions to perform at Her Majesty's Theatre in Lonon's West End once again.
20 students took part in this spectacular event ranging from the age of 7 upto 17.
One of the students was nominated for a Freestyle Scholarship award also in 2015, she was one of 208 dancers throughout the South East chosen form 5000 to be nominated.

Sharon provides themes classes (Christmas, Halloween) which my daughter loves.
Sharon goes above and beyond for her pupils including online lessons during lockdown so the girls could continue to learn and dance, they also received certificates through the post!

5No dancer is forced to take exams if they don’t feel ready, and the show is an incredible opportunity to gain experience performing, with backstage supervision by certified chaperones.
All classes are taught at Fant Hall, offering a safe and spacious space for all types of dance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the hall was maintained following the government guidance to the letter, and when in-person classes were not possible Sharon provided online lessons on Zoom, making them as enjoyable as possible and providing an important continuity for her students throughout the crisis.
Sharon Kennard School of Dance is a friendly and kind space for young dancers to learn and thrive while having fun, and from the perspective of a student I highly recommend it.
