My name is Sonia and I am a skilled dressmaker with over 33 years of experience in making, altering and repairing all kinds of clothing from jeans, jackets and curtains to prom and wedding dresses, leather and motorbike garments. I started to learn how to sew at a high school in Slovakia and since the age of 17 , I have been running my own business. In my well established business Sewing by Sonia here in the UK with an excellent reputation, I always aim to provide the highest quality service with a smile on my face. I take pride in my work and always strive for a happy customer who can return with more clothes that I can alter.

Vertical Blinds Alteration

I recently used Sonia for the first time. She altered my new vertical blind slats for me all 47 of them as they were too long. She did a fabulous job and I will definately use her again.

I’m a regular customer. Brought in a few things including dresses and tops. I have always been happy with the quality and service provided. Sonia is amazing at what she does and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend this!!!

Excellent repairs on my clothes. Sonia has over 30 years experience in sewing and her work is fantastic. She takes great pride in her work. Would not have my clothes altered anywhere else. Quality is top notch!

Professional and friendly service

I very rarely leave comments on review sites, but I felt I must comment on the excellent service my family have continued to receive form Sonia and the team. I have had a number of my suits altered here and these have always been finished to a very high standard. I know my wife uses Sonia for her dress alterations and recently my daughter had her wedding and bridesmaid dresses altered here. All parties were all extremely happy with the finished articles!
I would recommend Sonia to anyone who wants a professional and personable service.
