Selsdon Veterinary Centre

I went there a few years back with my puppy for her to be spayed, the receptionist was very rude don’t know which country she was from, anyway my puppy died, she was a beautiful Goldie, they rang me at work to say she was dead I rushed there to find her still on the table. Through tears I asked what happened and I requested a detailed letter of what they had done, I got that but of course all they are going to write is the normal procedure. I wanted her cremated, when I went to pick her ashes up the receptionist hunted and found her behind the desk in a box inside a crumpled screwed up carrier bag, there we are she says, I looked at her and said is that all you have to say and left. I later rang the RCVS to say what happened I can’t tell you what was said but they certainly didn’t appear impressed. Never went back there, chose a much better one. This vets doesn’t seem to have changed since I was there approx 20 yrs ago reading the other reviews.

This is a lovely vet. All the staff are so friendly and helpful and they take great care with our puppy. We would definitely recommend.

Do not take your pet here at all costs.

I had to bring my cat to this surgery under emergency circumstances and the service provided was very poor.

The staff are unfriendly and care very little for the animals wellbeing. My cat needed an x ray and they said it would be done within the hour and that they would call me.

I waited two hours and no one called. I called them and they had not even had the X ray done yet. I then waited another two hours when they finally called and informed me that they would be charging 100 pounds more then our agreed on price.

There is no care for animal welfare, only for profit. This is a very very poor veterinary surgeon.

My experience hasn't been as poor as the pp, but this practice is most definately primarily run as a profit-making business, with animal-compassion and customer care distinctly lacking. I only live down the road, but I'm off to Garton's in WWickham - a lovely vet!
