Every child is an individual and each one learns in a slightly different way. I begin by spending valuable time getting to know your child and how they best learn. I start with the knowledge, skills and attitude they already possess and build on these. I try to make my teaching varied and fun and ensure that students experience success. I believe that if you are seeking tuition for your child, then you are taking extra responsibility in their education and setting them up to succeed in life. I offer private tuition face-to-face in Ripponden (either my house or yours if you live here) or online.

Besides having extensive experience of private tuition, I am a fully qualified teacher. I currently teach KS2 in a local primary school. I have taught in a variety of locations around the UK (Durham, Essex, Norwich) and teach all National Curriculum subjects.

I am passionate about teaching and love to see students do well and achieve their potential. My teaching (and private tuition) style centres around personalised learning: tailoring my lessons to the individual learning styles of my pupils. I have the ability and patience to work well with a range of pupils and have had a lot of success motivating those who struggle. I get an invaluable sense of satisfaction from seeing pupils experience ‘light bulb’ moments. I am honest, hard working and would do my best to help your child. For your peace of mind, I am fully insured and hold an enhanced DBS check too.
