Hello! My name is Sam and I have been teaching, playing and recording the guitar for over 17yrs. I am a PATIENT and enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about music and teaching. My aim is to help students quickly develop in all areas of their playing as well as towards their OWN PERSONAL GOALS, be they learning their favourite song or passing their Grade 8 exam. MY LESSONS ARE TAILORED TO YOU. We will work towards clear targets and utilise music technology/recording software to create engaging and positive lessons so you can reach your goals and full potential.

Great Guitar Teacher, Highly Recommend

Sam has been teaching my daughter on and off for a couple of years and she has gone from a complete beginner to an accomplished, confident player. She always looks forward to her lesson which is helped by Sam's patient, calm approach to teaching. As well as covering the basics of guitar playing, Sam has introduced many different techniques and genres which keeps the lessons fresh and challenging. I have no hesitation in recommending Sam.

Lovely guy, fantastic teacher!

Sam has been teaching me for four years now and has hugely improved my technique, theory and confidence playing in a variety of different styles. He's also introduced me to some amazing new bands and music that I'd never heard of before. He's fun, very patient and is willing to teach what you want to learn, whether that be rock riffs, singer songwriter songs or grade pieces for examination. He also creates his own backing tracks to the pieces we choose and so you get the feel of playing with a 'band' despite not having one.
Would highly recommend Sam to anyone, whether a complete beginner or an already experienced player looking to brush up on technique.

Great Teacher

I learnt with Sam several years ago from the ages of about 10 to 16 and thoroughly enjoyed it. I started as a complete beginner and we ended up covering various rock, blues and acoustic styles. He teaches at your pace and gradually challenged me with more difficult pieces. Memorable highlights include 'Hotel California' and 'You shook me all night long'. His passion for music definitely comes through in his teaching and he certainly knows his stuff. So yeh I would highly recommend. Best of luck Sam!
