People like to go on holiday safe in the knowledge that their pet is in the best possible hands: With this thought in mind we decided to open a cattery at Saint Leonard Veterinary Centre, Derby. Perfect for cats on medication or that need closely monitoring, or just for peace of mind in case anything happens to your pet whilst you're away.

Our Derby based cattery caters for cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other small furries. Please note that all cats should be fully vaccinated, this can be done at the cattery prior to them boarding.

15 luxury suites (5 with outdoor runs, 10 with indoor)

On site vet for peace of mind

Heated during the winter (well insulated and cool during the summer)

Food provided, but feel free to bring your cat's normal diet if this is preferable

Lots of fuss and play assured

Each suite has its own castle, scratching post, elevated shelves, bedding and toys

Staff don't do what is advertised

Nice hotel , but for saying it's advertised that there is a vet on site the cattery staff don't seem to interact much with the cats. I needed my cats monitoring while they ate (they can't eat each others food) they take a few minutes to eat... I was told the cattery girl couldn't stand and watch them eat as she just chucks the food in... So what do the staff do for animals I need of meds? Do they have time to administer? By the sounds of it the cattery girls just chuck the food in and go...

Excellent hotel and plenty of tender loving care.

My cat stayed for 4 weeks, due to a medical procedure. The staff were kind and very understanding.

Meow Hotel

We always use the Meow Hotel at Saint Leonard vets. The staff are wonderful and always make a fuss of my boys. We love that the vets are on hand if either fell ill. We have recommended to all our animal loving friends.

My cat Bonkers loves this place so much I feel completely happy at leaving him there, which in turn means I can enjoy my holiday properly!!!
Wouldn't leave him anywhere else or with anyone else

Lovely large and light cattery pens, lovely staff who give the animals a lot of attention and accommodate for the cats specific needs! 100% would recommend to a friend!
