Our histroy and culture

Our chefs are from Udupi, a small town in the coastal region of the Western Ghats, about 60km from Bangalore in Karnataka. At a famous temple there is an idol of Lord Krishna richly adorned in jewels. The town is a knowledged centre for authentic South Indian Cuisine. Udupi chefs are renowned for the cooking of traditional South Indian vegetarian food.

Sagar is a restaurant that is recognised as breaking new ground in the presentation of South Indian vegetarian dishes, including some which are new to this country.

We like to make our guests feel extraordinarily special, we strive to exceed our guest's expectations and try to ensure that each dining experience is a memorable one.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was quite simply the best I have had in a long time. I will definitely be going back again soon.

We went for an early dinner, there was a table of 8 of us. One of the party is gluten free and was catered for brilliantly. Food were cooked to perfection and the topping on them were fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great experience.
