Still illegally charge to pay by card

I have been here a few times and am typically very happy with what they do, however they alway advise upon paying that there is a £1 fee to pay by card. I did think this was a bit strange as the bill is typically £60+ (which is also confusing as they don't appear to take the deposit amount off unless they're charging for extras that I'm not aware of?). I've since looked it up and it became illegal to charge to pay by card in 2018. Scared to bring it up in the shop as they can give you quite a bit of attitude sometimes and I still want to be able to use the service so I think I will bring this up with Trading Standards instead.

Hi Laura. Thank you sharing your thoughts with us and sorry took me few days to get back to you as I haven’t been in the country. We do apologise for any inconvenience. You are right we charge 1£ paying by card as a small business operating we want to survive in the market and we pay commission for each transaction (but that not an excuse) however about deposit we always take off before billing clients and do a check out. Sometime they may tell u the total price before checking the system to see it have credit on your account or deposit but we never charge extra. Clients book in and cancel but their deposit is converted into credit and they use them anytime. Never lose their money and so on. About 1£ charge i will speak to our manager and will do our best to avoid it. You are welcome anytime and dont be scared we try to do our best for you 😘 Kind regards Saby&team.

Their nails are so good lasting. Mine last 5weeks before doing again. I got my brows lamination there too, just WOW result can’t belive that.
