At S Nicholson & Sons we are a painting and decorating company that has been trading for over 15years but the team have many years of experience in the trade. Many of the team are City and Guilds certified and have earned an NVQ in painting and decorating.

We can provide a variety of painting and decorating services from plastering to wallpaper hanging and interior and exterior decorating. We guarantee that all work is carried out to excellent standards.

Our tradesmen have been handpicked by the proprietor Stephen Nicholson and are some of the most skilled professionals in the North East of England.

Many of our full-time staff are City & Guilds Qualified and some have even achieved City & Guilds Certificates of Excellence. One of our tradesmen is so highly skilled that he won Crown Painter & Decorator of the year for three years running in 2004, 2005 & 2006. We firmly believe that with the quality of staff we have and our ongoing training that we have the most highly skilled painting & decorating workforce in the North East of England.

The team at S Nicholson & Sons have been featured on prime time BBC One programme DIY SOS. We were involved with the show for two weeks during the time our team kindly offered painting and decorating services to the family featured on the programme.

The aim was to recreate their home as their eldest son needed a heart transplant at the age of 16 and sadly lost both of his legs due to complications.

Throughout the programme, you can see how S Nicholson & Sons have helped this deserving family create the home they need and truly deserve for their son.
