I am a self employed gardener with a passion for making a difference to peoples gardens whether they are large or small.

RTS Gardening has been established for 10 years and I have accredited NPTC City and Guilds qualifications in Horticultural Plantsmanship.

I have a keen eye for detail and have plenty of ideas about what goes where and am always enthusiastic about brightening up someones garden and trying to make them that little bit different!

From garden clearance to designing and building gardens from scratch

I have completed many patios and interesting garden designs from concept to completion. Not only laying patios but fences, turfing jobs, turning unused areas of gardens into eye catching colourful areas and everything else in between.

This was 600kg of welsh slate water feature that was carefully and slowly moved into place using large levers and a bit of brute force!
This was a new build blank canvas garden that the customer wanted terracing with gabion baskets and artificial grass

This area was very drab and needed a makeover so after a discussions with the customer it was decided to build a large pergola using railway sleepers as the side walls and cover the old concrete patio with new decking.

This is 14 months on!
This customer wanted a path to the shed, disabled access to a new lawn and a raised bed area.

This area used to have a trampoline on it
The customer didnt really know what to do with it so i did this for them and they were very happy with it
This was the main patio area before work started. After discussions with the customer it was agreed to lay the patio to one level instead of three to allow for table and chairs and children to run around on without the risk of tripping over!
As can be seen the area is now quite a bit bigger with plenty of room for table and chairs and quite child friendly. What cant really be seen in this picture is that the grass was 6

Fantastic job.

Russ made a fantastic job of our decking. His craftsmanship is outstanding and he takes pride in his work. He turned out on the 2 coldest days of the year so far and worked so hard and was able to adapt the project to our requirements. I thoroughly recommend him for all your landscaping and horticultural needs. He responds to texts and emails promptly but remember he can't always answer the phone when at work so leave him a message.

A Fantastic landscape gardening service!

The task was not a small one (filling in a large pond, , and resolving a few unknown quantities such as drainage problems and hidden manhole covers; paving and completely re-designing the main section of the garden and building a drystone slate wall.
Russell and his co worker Helen worked incredibly hard often in difficult weathers and always with a "can do" pleasant attitude.
The materials used in the finished product are of excellent quality and the delivery and clearing away were without difficulty (for me at least!) The original quotation and pricing were transparent and fair as there were so many variables and unknown quantities. I think the finished product is excellent value and would have no hesitation in recommending this company
