The man behind Royal flush plumber is 40 year old Dan Hull, who's lived in Maidenhead with his family since 2008. Formerly an Events Co-ordinator working on high-profile sporting events, he worked long hours and was often away on business.

"I missed my wife and children and regretted the wasted hours spent commuting every day. Working locally was the answer. As the son of a builder I was really keen to start a vocational career."

Inspired by an excellent plumber and appliance specialist, Dan had long ago realised the value of honest, reliable tradesmen. Following a two year evening class course at East Berks College he achieved his EAL qualification in Plumbing and Heating engineering and was taken on as an apprentice with two well established local firms.

"Learning on the job was fascinating and I quickly built up a portfolio of customers in the area. My wife's pretty gregarious and is forever coming home from the school run and the supermarket check-out with news of someone who has a leaky tap or needs a new bathroom suite. Much more of this and I'll have to hire some assistants!"
