They have provided superb service for many years and saved my life

I read so many negative reviews of this excellent service I thought a change of view may be of interest. Unfortunately now I'm 80 I have had to use the services of many of the departments at RBH, most recently for both cancer related and lung issues. All through the Covid period they have provided rapid, friendly and thorough diagnosis, carried out major surgery to remove cancer, provided constant post surgery support and are still providing care for a second incurable cancer and lung problems. My experience has been consistently positive

Is a really serious matter this hospital not looking after there patients right

Waited 9 hours in A&E before a doctor even would see me. No update or anything. Just see them chatting to each other. Shame on you. Also left a old lady for 12 hours.

Excuses

1
There are a couple of wards that have had bad quality commission care problems. My mother died on one of these wards and my father is in the other
- I am worried proper care is not taking place - some staff are rude and ignorant a
nd I feel all the patients are not checked regularly enough - some patients cannot eat or drink and are left in a chair all day - There is not enough therapy care - having worked for a company that therapists use I am horrified how little they can help patients - covid and brexit are now the main excuse

Wow just wow I've never seen care that's so bad they now have the perfect storm of Covid and Brexit to cover up the worst service I've ever seen in the the 41 years of my life I would give it minus 1000000 but that option is not available

Fantastic Royal Bournemouth hospital

I had the privilege to attend the (SDEC) on the 11th December .It would be difficult for me to describe the incredible care, treatment, imagery, and even lunch. The Nurse that took me through all of the procedures was named Natasha and I could not praise her professional attention enough as well as her colleagues. Then came Dr Hazel I have never had such a detailed explanation in my life and I am 83 years old.Thank you (SDEC) you are a wonderful plus to a wonderful hospital.
