Business overview

Due to our business being small and our daily routine, the animals in our care get plenty of attention and play. We live on site and your pets safety and well being is our top priority. We only employ staff with a genuine love and ability to attend to your pets needs. Our prices are inclusive of VAT and insurance. Due to our hydrotherapy, we have staff trained in Small Animal First Aid and are able to look after disabled pets. We have six kennels large enough to house 3 giant breeds comfortably and are very competitive on price for large families of pets. The kennels are so popular we have a 10 month waiting list to get in, so book early!! You are welcome to visit anytime in our opening hours, no appointment necessary. We have a Dog Groomer, Mucky Pups, on site and we can organise for your dog's to be walked( on top of their two play times per day)with Jacqui from Rolling Bones, who we have worked with for many years. ideal for working breeds and long stays. Our cat cabins are large enough to house 3 cats comfortably and south facing to get the best of the sun during the day. They get to watch the birds feeding and also Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and Tortoises when they stay with us.

Highly recommended

This is the only kennel we will leave our dogs at, in fact if ever we have a holiday that the dogs cant come on we begin by first checking dates that this kennel has free so that we know our guys can come here.
We have always had sighthounds, and we feel very safe as to how secure this place is. The kennels are spacious, there are bigger sized kennels for bigger dogs and smaller for the smaller sized dogs. Also a secure grassed area for the dogs to play in, they are let out 5 times a day for outside play. They will let your dog play with other carefully matched dogs if you wish and if appropriate.

They have always seemed very knowledgeable, and also seem to have a genuine affection for the dogs in their care. This kennel is not too big as well, so they have plenty of time to spend with each of the dogs in their care.

Our dogs have always come back to us happy and healthy and we feel 100% confident that they are being very well looked after while we are away. And we are very fussy with our dogs! After viewing several in the area, and hearing some horror stories, we had this kennel recommended to us, and we are very glad we found it. In fact the only problem we have is that its so good it does get booked up! So need to call them as soon as you know you will need them and give as much notice as possible to ensure you can get the dates you want.

I can highly recommend this kennel.

How to feel deflated in a couple of seconds

Having visited these kennels to ensure it would be suitable and having met an extremely pleasant worker I booked the dates as it deemed acceptable but possibly not if youre a Border Collie as it was was obvious the the owner didn't like our dog or her squealing bark ( her description) and proceeded to LECTURE us after asking 'who are you ' ?when surely they must know who's going to be collected .Just what you need after a holiday and are now feeling very flat and depressed so will not be using them again.Yes she has high pitched bark and we did say she's not good with other dogs but we would have appreciated being spoken to not at.

Jessie's mum....I have been boarding Jessie with Justine and Paul for some eight years now. Previously My former GSD stayed for several weeks whilst I had replacement knee surgery , as a full and then day boarder whilst I got my act together. Her Dad would come several miles to pick Jess up and then return her at the end of the day. They couldn't have been more helpful, I haven't been on holiday for a couple of years now , but when I resume then the first thing is to check kennel availability and then flights and accommodation in that order. If I can't place Jessie here then I don't go. It's that simple.. I will not use any other kennel. True , Justine is not a people person. But that doesn't matter as she is unsurpassable in her dedicated commitment to animals. If you expect pleasantries you will be disappointed - she just doesn't have the time - the most important people are the animals in her care. Your Border Collie was probably not the only dog being collected on that day

Used this kennels for a long time. Have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and a Staffy cross. The owners offer a very good personal service and are extremely friendly and approachable. Our dogs go in for a minimum of 11 weeks a year and always come home looking as good and as happy as when they go in. Lots of information taken about their individual needs which is so important when you have dogs ranging in age from two years to 13 and half years.
