I have tried to contact Rosebery's often.
Last week someone answered that I would get a call back.
Again, nothing!!!!

Appauling customer service and auctioneers.

1
Earlier this month we won an item from Rosebery's auctioneers. Several weeks ahead we have yet to recieve the item as they refused to allow us to use our courier to collect the lot. My husband is 73 years old and cannot travel to London as he is deemed at risk of the Coronavirus. On the other hand, the courier services they did allow is exceptionally expensive and overpriced. Much of this conversation was done over the phone but I have the reference code from ParcelForce and a email suggesting the above to prove it.

Awful Auctioneers. Stay Away!

We tried to get our courier to collect an item but they refused saying that we either need to collect it ourselves or pay them to post it. We have now demanded that they put the item back into auction. Do not deal with them! Terrible service at extortionate prices.

Why would anyone sell through Rosebery?

1
I attempted to register in order to bid on a painting in an online auction. Nothing happened. I emailed: no response. I telephoned and was told an email had been sent (it hadn't) / would be resent (it wasn't). The gist of this supposed email was that I needed to provide proof of address (I am listed in Debrett's) and a £500 deposit (on a bid of just £80). The painting I was interested in didn't sell because it received no bids (I wonder why). Aside from alienating a prospective client, what about their responsibility to the seller, whose painting is still unsold and who is presumably out of pocket as well. I have never had a worse experience at any auction house. These guys are useless!

Storage Charges

Agree with Minnie1, have bought from them a few times and storage charges are on the invoice and in the catalogue. Friendly people on the front desk, no complaints.
