Late both ways

Turned up 40 minutes late to pick us up - said if was due to an accident and diversion which is completely understandable, but no apologies, just lots of comments that it’s not his fault. Then turned up 30 minutes late to pick us up and take us home. This time due to bad roads. Again no apology. Wouldn’t recommend - we were late to my work dinner and had to hang around while the staff were cleaning down around us afterwards. Further to this, there is promised “no hidden extras”. Someone was a little sick in the taxi on the way home - now I expect to pay a charge when this happens (understandably) but there was nowhere to specify how much we should expect to pay. For all we know, he could have made up a price on the spot. I’m not complaining we had to pay at all, it’s standard - I just think this should be made clear how much, to avoid having to detour to withdraw money (even though card payments are apparently accepted)
