River Windows has been established in East Sussex since the early 1990s, manufacturing and supplying customers with good quality, high security, made to measure units. Initially River Windows manufactured on a supply only basis expanding into the domestic market, within the double glazing industry, due to the high demand for our services. Through gradual expansion and development we have gained places on the Local Councils’ Housing Association Approved Suppliers List, Check the Trader and became a member of The Guild of Master Craftsmen.

Keep well away from this firm

Beware!! I required replacement of 3 leaded light windows and 1 plain window. Salesman demanded immediate payment in advance. Had visit from surveyor to obtain exact measurements. Fitter subsequently came as arranged, first leaded window installed upside down and totally out of alignment with existing, following rather heated discussion as to why window should align fitter then reinstalled correctly. Second window installed correctly, but in my absence third window misaligned. Also brought wrong window for replacement of conservatory pane. Surveyor came again and agreed third window installed incorrectly and apologised for mix up over conservatory window stating that he never took any notice of salesman quotation anyway. Eventually got third window put in correctly and conservatory window replaced. This business lacks any sort of co-ordination between salesman, surveyor, office or fitter. Level of service and quality of work is abysmal.

Fantastic team at River Windows at Ravenside Bexhill - our complete new build property in Catsfield we are over whelmed with the wat River Windows fitters treated our property. On time every day, polite- friendly, no mess left on site. (no like other trades)

Having moved/relocated - used River for the 3rd occasion in 10 I cannot praise them enough! no sales banter, just forward no nonsense quotation. Excellent finish job well done.

Shoddy fitted front door

I wouldn’t recommend river windows to my worst enemy they fitted our door and on Sunday we couldn’t lock it so we called a locksmith as they haven’t got an emergency service they told me they haven’t got a after sales service so would not pay locksmiths bill so don’t use river windows don’t waste you’re money please they hadn’t made sure it was fitted right and it was out of alignement

The door was not shoddily fitted, as you have said, it just required adjustment. As was also advised we do not provide a 24hr emergency service and subsequently were not contactable on Sunday. It is usual that if a door does require adjustment it is noticeable for some days prior to it actually not locking. Not Interested in small jobs!!

Had a leaflet through the door offering 50% discounts, contacted them and sent a previous quote to see if they could better the original price on a replacement single window.
That was 3 weeks ago now and still heard nothing from them even after a phone call!
It appears that they are only interested in jobs that are more lucrative for them and single one offs are of no interest whatsoever.
If this is the case River Windows why not at least be honest and have the courtesy to contact your potential customers, you never know they may turn into a much bigger customer in the future!!
