Poor service- all about the profit

1
I was happy to wait the 2 weeks to get my car looked at/serviced as I wanted it to be properly looked at. I was also promised that I would be given an estimate which never arrived. My car was seen but booked in under a ‘ look over’ not the service and thorough inspection I needed ahead of a big drive and engine concerns. I was charged £97 for the pleasure of a bolt being tightened and barely an hours work. The receptionist was patronising and condescending and took no responsibility for the fact that I would have to wait a further two weeks to have a service!!!! Again, I needed it looked at due to a long journey that week.
The next day an engine light came on that was pretty serious and that I had never seen before- I am not inferring anything malicious has happened but the coincidence cannot be ignored.I called the receptionist and she belittled my fears and said I could drive it anyway- this is very unsafe and unprofessional to advise. I will never return to Ringwood Motor Company.

Rip off felt MOT not needed

1
Absolutely rip-off they felt my car on MOT! all this part they require not really need it replace
All they want some extra cash and extra money that currently had 40875 miles
Mini Cooper went in for a full service on Wednesday 14th October. I was called and told a number of things were wrong with my car that needed immediate fixing and was quoted over £500.
- Tyre: £80
- Alignment: £79.95
- Break pads & front discs: £260
- Car Battery: £110

This was way too expensive (the tyre should cost £50 and a car battery is usually £60 plus VAT). I was also finding it hard to believe my car break pads and front discs needed replacing because there were no warning lights that came on and I hardly use my car. (Just over 40,000 miles in 10 years.)

The man I spoke to was pushy, claimed he had already started working on the car so dropped the price to £435 for me and then HUNG UP the phone when I said I did not want the work done but just wanted my car back
