More like a doss house

1
The room was substandard, but nothing like the photos they show on their website. There were stains on the sofa, stains and hair on the bedsheets, cracks on the ceiling, and the coving, venetian blind was broken, the sink was in the room not the bathroom, there was holes in the wall behind the double bed, part of the skirting board was missing, shower cubicle was made out of perspex. It was more like a doss house than a guest house.

Exceeded our expectations, great, super, top!

5
Ricky road guest house exceeded our expectations. Both Peter, the host and Sam, the owner are super welcoming friendly and helpful. They had lots of tips for us regarding nearby attractions, pubs and restaurants. The room was top-notch, fully equipped and very clean. The wizarding studio was absolutely amazing, you just imagined yourself in Hogwarts. On arrival, the fridge was stocked with packs of apple and orange juice, almond milk and a bottle of water and on the table a bowl of fruit. The breakfast is excellent, with div. types of bread, cheese and meat, croissants, jam, various pastries, yoghurt and fresh fruit. The location is also top notch, a ten-minute walk from the underground which takes you to Bakerstreet in 40 minutes with a direct line. From here you can go to all the sights in no time. The centre of Watford is a 15-minute walk away and has plenty of cosy bars and restaurants. All in all, Peter and Sam provided us with an unforgettable holiday of which our big thanks!
