Disgusting...
I went to the vets in Wakefield with my 9 week old puppy because she was constantly throwing up and not keeping her food down. When the vet examined my puppy, they said that she was either very greedy or she had worms as her stomach was quite hard. The vet also told me that my puppy seemed happy in herself so not to worry. I left that day feeling positive that she would get better. The next day she was throwing up again and was looking very thin so we decided to take her to the Chantry Vets in Castleford. When the vet looked at her, he realised that my puppy was very dehydrated and that due to two hernias, her intestines were dying. Unfortunately we had to put our puppy down on that day which broke out hearts. If I've got any advice for anyone reading this, don't go to this vets. They clearly don't know what they're doing and simply lie to the customer. I'd never ever recommend Richmonds to anyone, I'm still hurt and disgusted to this day with the false information I was given.

New Customer
I was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I took her advice. I was so impressed with how friendly and helpful both the vet and the nurse were when I went in today. Not all pet owners can afford to pay the high priced consultation fees, prescribed medication etc that other vets charge. This practice, together with their centre in Dewsbury, offer a very reasonably priced service, so that all pet owners can put the care of their pets first without the worry of not being able to afford it. Without doubt, this is a standard that other vets should aim for. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone.

Brilliant
Would nevver use another vets. Catherine who is one of the vets is lovely. Always makes a huge fuss of our dog. Weve been with allsorts of ailments from spots to fractures and never paid more than £30 for treatment and never embarrassed if it turns out to be nothing. Took all my family dogs here for years and not bothered about waiting.

Very disappointed
My little dog was bumping into things a not being able to get around we took her a long to the Wakefield practice .The vet said her eyes were a bit cloudy but her the back of her eyes were fine .We went to another vet that carried out blood test ,sent us to see Ophthalmologist and was told she has sards and will never see again .I will never take any animal along to there practice again. The care we got from your vet on Friday 4th December 2015 was a waste of £15 .

best value vet care
Amazing value and great care for your pet. I've been using this practice for many many years. Mr Bone is a star! Had an operation on my dog here for a damaged tendon, cost under £300. Same op at Castleview Vets - £3,000.
Rosemary the nurse is fantastic too, all staff are friendly and helpful and extremely thorough and they never push anything your pet doesn't need. Can't rate or recommend highly enough.
