Absolutely terrible customer service…

Absolutely terrible customer service skills. Was contacted by them working on a job for RAC. Changed waiting time to recover my vehicle 4 times. Then finally told it won't be recovered until the next day and to take a taxi, after being told someone was on their way. Julie who was on the phone spoke very rudely and was screeching down the phone. Interrupted and wouldn't let me get a word in before finally hanging up. Extremely poor service and shocked RAC work with such a company.

My experience with RAC from start to finish was not the best, but when my job was then handed by them to richford motors it became dreadful. The staff I interacted with were rude, very unhelpful and had a careless attitude. I am sorry that my breakdown inconvenienced your day. You might want to think how missing 4 collection times (that you set) impacts your customers whole day after turning-up over 6 hours late! A worthy winner of a ‘Wooden Spoon Award’ and congratulations on turning a simple car recovery into a 7 hour Fiasco!

10 hours to be recovered 60 miles!

Broke down on the A1 at 19:20 on Thursday evening (1st August). Phoned the AA and the job was subbed out to these jokers. Was told they’d be with me in 60 mins. At 23.35 they turned up with a low loader to try to repair my car. He told me he’d been recovering another motorist from the A1 and had dropped them at Markham Moor truckstop to wait to be recovered to their final destination in Huddersfield. He couldn’t start my car and informed me I’d need to be recovered, however it wouldn’t be him as he was too busy! I only needed to go 60 miles into Derbyshire. I called the AA back and they got a recovery truck to me at 12:55am and stood Richford down. We then had to recover the other AA member who Richford had cleared from the A1 and dumped at the services. After dropping them off at Huddersfield I finally got dropped off at 05:10am… 10 hours to be recovered 60 miles!
Why the AA use the clowns is beyond me. Disgraceful outfit!

RAC need to throw these people as far as no one can ever reach them, as that is how they operate with you. Waiting since 3.30pm on a farm road with no lights and they keep delaying getting to you - with not even a call to let you know. Now told they will be 11.30pm. It’s a joke. They are full of excuses!
Our timing belt has gone and we have not eaten since 1.30pm and our elderly passengers have missed their medication. This sort of company needs to be gone. I will do everything possible to ensure everyone I know is aware RAC use this company. We have been left stranded in the dark on a farm road and not been able to put the hazards on as the battery has now gone flat and our phone batteries almost flat too. I tried to take this further with RAC and they just directed me to rac.co.uk/complaints

About as close to sub-human sc*m as you could get.
I'd broken down and the AA subcontracted the recovery job to this firm. Was initially informed that they'd be with me within 90 minutes (ETA 9pm). I called at 9pm to inform them that I was roadside with an 8 week old baby. They told me it was a busy night and they may be up to another hour. I called again after that hour passed and they informed me that it would be '20 mins' (ETA 930pm). After 30 mins I called back, only to be told it would be another hour and a half (ETA 11pm). At 11pm I called backed and was told to 'chill out mate' by someone who sounded high as a kite. He told me that our job was next and the driver was only 30 minutes down the road. One hour later, still waiting. Called back soon after and was put on hold for ten minutes (clear they wanted me to hang up). Called back from another phone and heard laughter and the background with the guy telling me 'I'm the only one trying to help here, nobody else cares' TBC..
