Ribble Valley Shopmobility is a charity funded organisation which provides mobility scooters, manual and powered wheelchairs and power packs to enable people with limited mobility to shop independently and use the town centre facilities. The scheme may be used by the young or old regardless of whether their disability is temporary or permanent. First time users will need to register (free of charge) and training in the use of the vehicle will be provided. We do not charge you to hire the equipment any additional donations are also welcome.

I borrowed a walking aid with 4 wheels and a seat for my mother last year. She had dementia and i didn't know if she would be able to use it. Therefore to be able to try before we bought was invaluable.
The service and support was excellent, the formalities straightforward simple. On returning the device i made a donation. My mother then went on to buy one.
