Stay away from Renault Leicester!

I bought my car from Renault Leicester on 15th June 2020. Worst thing I ever did!

The day I drove it away there were problems. There has been a number of works completed which should have been completed before the car was put out for sale.

I’ve listed the works below:

* Bluetooth software update due to the in car phone system not working correctly

* Injection system fault - this included a replacement coil for the ignition which took two attempts – This also lead me to lose fuel

* Alignment – The advisory that came out of this visit was that the discs were wearing thin and pads were below 50% and had bad lips on edge!

* Discs & pads replaced the discs and pads as a gesture of goodwill in their opinion! This lead to a hire car being paid for whilst works

Worst new car experience ever 😩

Diabolical customer service

Bought a car less than a year old online that was delivered to me in Ireland with the spare wheel ensemble, spare key and handbook pack all missing. They had clearly been taken off this car for other vehicles and the car not inspected at all prior to delivery. Salesman told me they would sort it if I bought the items off my local dealer and they would refund me. I did this then they decide to ignore my emails and have had to take them to small claims. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP IF YOU VALUE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Awful customer service

Renault used sales within Nissan / Renault Garage.

I traveled from London to Leicester to see a used Nissan today. I spoke to Matthew and was sent the video of the car.

I drove the 100 + miles to view a car.

Half way up I called and was told by the receptionist Matthew wasn’t in work. I had already spoken to him and been sent a video.

I then emailed Matthew when I was halfway up the m1 and told him I would be an hour, upon arrival the receptionist who was clueless said Matthew wasn’t in. He then called two numbers and said there was no answer.
I walked around and found Matthew and was then told the vehicle I had travelled to see was sold.

The deposit scheme to reserve a vehicle was not explained clearly and if it had been I would have paid this for the £14,500 vehicle I was interested in.

I have read other reviews online and can see that this sales office clearly has issues.
I wouldn’t recommend this place at all and seems common upon reviews.

Appalling customer service - Sales Team at Renault Leicester not to be trusted!

I’ve been lied to by numerous members of their sales team over the last few months about the details of my deal in order for them to make the sale. Eg. Was told my new car would be ready in 2 weeks. Waited over a month in the end. £10,223 was taken from my account because Renault failed to settled my finance agreement on time like they promised. Was misinformed more times than I can count of the details of my deal then told the correct information last minute AFTER I’d signed.
Also when I finally got my “brand new” vehicle it was dirty inside. Not what you’d expect a brand new car to look like. Scuffs on the interior and dirty and smear marks on the tech. Splatters on the exterior.
I’m honestly really regretting not sticking with Mini my previous dealer. I’m not sure whether the team at Renault Leicester are just lazy, moronic or they just don’t care about the happiness of their customers. As long as they’ve made a sale they don’t care.
I’ll be changing my care as soon as I can!
