Red Rocks Nursing Home was established in 1948 and continues to be run by the same family. The proprietor and his family live within the grounds and manage the home on a daily basis. Red Rocks is situated, quite literally on the tip of the Wirral Peninsula. It is set in 2 acres of attractive, landscaped gardens including a wildflower meadow. It borders the shore with its world famous nature reserve and has exceptional and uninterrupted views of the Dee Estuary, Hilbre Island, Liverpool Bay and the Welsh Hills. Red Rocks is renowned for providing exceptionally high standards of nursing care to clients with a wide range of needs; from general nursing care, to cancer care and palliative nursing and has been awarded BEACON (PLATINUM) status in The Gold Standards Framework for Care Homes (GSFCH). All this provided in as close to a normal home environment as is possible, and by an experienced and dedicated team of highly motivated and caring professionals.

Excellent Nursing Home

Excellent nursing home. They took care of my father for the last month of his life. Incredibly caring and professional staff. Clean and tidy and fabulous food. They go above and beyond. There is plenty of staff around and they care for the patients with dignity and respect. I am a doctor and I praise highly the treatment he received there.

Great care in a fabulous location

My father moved into Red Rocks in mid May 2016 after a few weeks in hospital and in an intermediate care unit, having lived independently in his own home prior to this. The choice of Red Rocks was influenced, to a degree, by its very informative website and the philosophy of care which this described. In the short time that my father has been in Red Rocks, I have seen plenty of evidence that that this philosophy is actually being delivered, through both the care being given to my father, and my observation of the care being provided to other residents. Staff there have already identified a few care related matters which can be relatively easily addressed by early intervention which, sadly, the intermediate care unit overlooked. Initial experience of Red Rocks is that it is very well managed. Once my father has been able to put behind him his recent experiences as well as his loss of independence, I am confident that he can look forward to renewed quality of life at Red Rocks.
