Rajdoot is a great restaurant in many ways, the food is absouletly delioucious and the atmosphere is so good when you want to just go somewhere to relax .It has a very family feeling and great to celebrate any happy occasion such as birthdays anniversarys or just an evening out with family or friends. The restaurant has the old mogul of india theme, the staff are so frendly and make you feel welcome and if the food is good and the atmosphere is good you will want to come backfor more.I would recomend this place to anyone.

Behind time but likable

Visited here for Christmas weekday lunch, 3 course with popadoms for £10.95.

Different from the more modern establishments, at Rajdoot, the patrons are invited to wait in the bar area and place the order there, before actually enter the dining area. Although you probably can opt to go to the dining area directly (I saw a couple with a baby doing this), it is actually advisable to stay some time in bar area, as it is spacious and elegant.

The dining area is spacious as well and not crammed of tables. It was pretty dark even during the lunch time, so I guess the same also during the dinner time.

Food was not mind-blowing, but acceptably good, which isn't a bad thing. The presentation, however, let me down, and I hope they are doing better for the pretty expensive a la carte menu service (although for some reason I am skeptical). Among the things I had, I liked very much lamb kebab, pea and new potato curry, and pilau rice, while saag paneer and kulfi were average.

Service was pretty good: relaxing and not obtrusive. They waiters will smile at you, will say hello to you, and will help you with coat.

The decor in general is slightly out of date, but I think some like it in this way, as it is comforting. I upload some photos so that you can have an idea.

In food wise, this is not a destination restaurant, but if you happen to be nearby and if you are over 30, it is a nice place to eat and relax.
