I love this shop: whatever you want they have it! Yesterday, following my plumber’s advice, I went in with photos, an Allen key that was too big, and the handle of a sink tap. A man who worked there took me somewhere quiet and spent time working out the size of Allen key I needed. The shop was really busy but he spent time with me. I need to thank him: he sold me the right size and the handle is now back on the tap. The level of service here is brilliant even if you are only spending 50!

Mortens is the sort of hardware shop that every town ought to have! On 'Good Friday' afternoon when my bin lid had broken, and I was expecting visitors for the Easter weekend, I popped in to see if there was any chance the catch on the lid could be fixed. I'd already been on the Brabantia website, and although the broken part could be replaced by them, it would take several days to arrive by post. Of course, Mortens did the magic for me.... they went the extra mile, as ever, and dug deep in their store room to find a replacement catch off another broken lid. I can't thank you enough Mortens! I know your prices are sometimes a teeny bit higher than your competitors, but your service is second to none, and it's worth every penny! Thank you!
