Recently taken my car to them with a leaky injector they had the car 3 days to change one copper washer and charged me well over the odds for the work carried out and it did not even fix the problem completely waste of time any money would not recommend

I came across this garage when my car had a catastrophic engine failure by the side of the A1. My recovery agent recovered the vehicle to RSC Armstrong after I called them to ask if it could be left with them for repair. They got on with the vehicle straight away, diagnosed the fault, and did a very thorough, professional, transparent and prompt job to repair it. A full engine rebuilt, including external companies for the re-boring and machining, in just two weeks. A true family-run business, excellent team, personal service and personable staff. It's refreshing to see companies and people like this still going, and I would not take my car elsewhere. It has since been back for several other small faults, which they have fixed same day, with prompt diagnosis and telephone updates. They will inform you of any other issues they notice, but not force you in to having the work done - a true honest and conscientious service. Spot on. Credit to them. No need to look elsewhere!!

Following a engine failure on my way to a job at Redcar, I called R.S & C Armstrong for assistance, they were with me within the hour and took the van ( Fiat Ducato) and my self back to their workshops at Stockton, they diagnosed the problem And got on with repairs straight away, on completion they called me to pick it up, the bill for the recovery and repairs were more than fair - in fact I was pleasantly surprised ! I certainly wouldn't go anywhere else for repairs or servicing.

I have used this service before but the last time I was there a few issues arose when I turned up to the garage to retrieve my car I felt uncomfortable with various comments from staff one in particular an older lady who not only made me feel unwelcome she made it very clear she was discussing my situation with other staff member in a back room where I could clearly hear her I don't find this type of behaviour appropriate for any service and for that reason I will not be attending this garage again or recommending it to anyone.
