Roger barker weedles his way in between family cause more upset. He was late to collect my mum the whole process was degrading and she was put in back of what seem to be farm truck He messed up my mother funeral late to church wrong route late to crematorium and told us to hurry up. When it's to to take time grieve and look at flowers he rushing us off out. What he said about my mum's choice of attire to be laid to rest in was horrid. We all been left with bad memories. And now I wonder how he cared for my mum while she was with him. Then his son stalked my niece. Stay well away from this company

Absolutely awful

1
Absolutely awful, was a very VERY distressing experience. Its terrible this man is still in business. Does not show any empathy, compassion or professionalism. My biggest regret my father being in this man's care for the week that he 'had him in storage' as Mr barker puts it.

A very dignified service.

Roger Barker was responsible for handling the funeral of my beloved boyfriend Fuzzy. He was very sensitive and knew exactly the right things to say to put me at my ease when I was feeling fraught with emotion. He allowed me plenty of time to say goodbye to Fuzzy in the private chapel of rest and allowed me to be involved in arranging the order of service. Another undertaker in Eastbourne who at first had charge of Fuzzy before he was handed over to Roger's firm, was extremely cold and unsympathetic and would not have allowed me to say goodbye, because I was "Not a blood relative". The day of Fuzzy's funeral was carried out with the greatest dignity and respect, and I would highly recommend his services as an undertaker because he is a man who cares for his clients and their families.

Biggest regret of my life

1
Roger Barker is undoubtedly the worst funeral director I've ever encountered. To say he lacks competence, integrity, and professionalism would be a gross understatement. His involvement in my late mother's funeral caused real distress to my family. If you want a dignified, professional service, look elsewhere. I wouldn't even trust R & H Barker to organise a funeral for a goldfish.
