This is not the first time we have used Quinell Carpentry. The service is always excellent.
The work is always completed to an extremely high standard. Al is a highly skilled carpenter, the quality of his workmanship is exceptional. Work is completed quickly and most efficiently.
I would certainly use him again and would not hesitate to recommend Quinelll Carpentry.

Al Quinnell made some bespoke bookshelves and wardrobe doors earlier this year, and they're outstanding. I used him because he did another set of bookshelves for us over fifteen years ago, and they still look brand new. His work is always professional and always impeccable. It's obvious, from watching him work and listening to him, that he loves his carpentry and has huge knowledge and experience. He's also a very nice person! I wouldn't hesitate to use him again, or to recommend him to others.

After using Al for jobs in our old flat, we knew we wanted him to run the projects needed in our new home. It needed quite a bit of attention and Al designed and fitted a new kitchen and bathroom. He replaced our existing staircase to help modernise the hallway. He hung 8 new doors and designed and fitted a bespoke floating mantelpiece for us. We also used Al to order and fit shutters for our lounge. When his working on big projects, he’s super helpful in doing some of the smaller jobs like hanging pictures and mirrors. He has many contacts which means he has been able to project manage other jobs we’ve needed. For example he managed the fitting of solid oak floorboards in 3 rooms downstairs and organised for the fitting of a new boiler and system when our old boiler packed up. It’s rare to find someone you can rely on in the building trade who really cares about the quality of the work he completes. We’ve just booked him in to design and fit a built in cabinet for the lounge!

Al is a super talented carpenter and all round tradesman! He designed and fitted bespoke built in wardrobes for our bedroom, which have given us much needed storage in our flat. He measured up, ordered and fitted shutters for the very large Victorian bay window in our living room and fitted a shower screen to our bath. He also crafts bespoke furniture and designed and built a fabric ottoman for the bedroom. Everything is completed to the highest standard. Reliable, tidy and personable - why can’t all tradesman be like this! Thank you!

Quinnell Carpentry was engaged build some cabinets in my dining room and to source and fit a new kitchen. The benefit of using a professional carpenter for these jobs meant that I received excellent advice regarding what would fit into the space that I had; a beautiful finish on the cabinets including bespoke cutlery drawers and subtle internal lighting in the dining room cabinets; a bespoke cabinet to house my microwave in the kitchen, that exactly matched the other kitchen cabinets; bespoke bookshelves allowing me to have my many cookbooks in the kitchen for the first time; better ceiling lighting and again subtle lighting underneath the wall cupboards and inside a larder cupboard, none of which was part of the original spec. Being able to discuss, agree and sometimes change the specifications with someone knowledgeable was enormously helpful. I should also mention the under-stairs store cupboard and bespoke garden shed that QC designed and fitted for me. Both are a delight.
